This client has been a repeat client of ours for the past 8 years. He was very excited to announce that after 15 years he had secured the agency for Harley Davidson in Nelson and would be showcasing these iconic motorbikes in his store, Filco Farm and Sport. He approached us to create a concept that seamlessly integrated the Harley brand, his own vision, and the global marketing strategies provided.
The star needed to be the motorbikes, and to achieve this, we had to develop a look and ambiance that captured their essence effectively.
Along the way, we faced several challenges, including optimizing the available space in the existing store, coordinating with engineers for steelwork, and sourcing the appropriate timber to achieve the desired aesthetic.
We also had to work in with Harley Australasia, who signed off the final product and design. They loved the overall outcome.
To further enhance the project, we managed to source some local Redwood timber, which was salvaged from a tree that had fallen during a storm a few years back. The Redwood was milled, dried and machined into wide T&G planks. We also got big solid slabs, elevating them off the floor to showcase and display the motorbikes.
Key Features
- The character of the Redwood timber tied in well with the Harley theme with its masculine look.
- Big louvred panels integrated into the steel frame on the ceiling
- We moved away from fine joinery into a more masculine style
